Peter has tried many high-profile jury trials and appeals, including homicide in his over 14 years of practice. He uses his thorough knowledge of criminal litigation and procedure to advocate on the behalf of his clients. He has tried cases in every level of court in Nova Scotia, courts in New Brunswick, as well as the Supreme Court of Canada.

Peter also understands that the criminal justice system can be daunting and unfamiliar to people facing criminal charges. He takes his role in helping his clients understand the process and know what to expect very seriously.

Peter holds a Bachelor’s degree with honours from Cape Breton University, a Master’s in Public Administration from Dalhousie University, and an L.L.B from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie. He is also a member of the Nova Scotia Criminal Lawyers’ Association and frequently presents to its members and other organizations on topics of criminal law.
